Keep them frozen
Store lyophilized (dry powder) vials at -20°C. That's a standard lab or household freezer. Stored correctly, most peptides stay stable for 12–24 months. Don't leave them on the bench.
Mix only what you need
Once you add solvent, the clock starts. Reconstituted peptides are best used within a few weeks at -20°C. Mix in small batches and freeze the rest as dry powder.
Keep them dark
Light degrades peptides faster than most people realize. Store in the original vial, keep it wrapped or in a drawer. Don't leave vials sitting under lab lights.
Check your COA for exceptions
A few compounds (like MOTS-C) need -80°C even as dry powder. We note this on the COA. When in doubt, colder is better.
How to Mix Your Peptides
Takes about 5 minutes. Here's the right way to do it.
Let the vial warm up first
Pull it from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before opening. This keeps condensation out of the vial.
Use bacteriostatic water
BAC water (bacteriostatic water) is the go-to solvent for most peptides. We carry it in the catalog. Add it slowly down the side of the vial — not directly onto the powder.
Swirl, don't shake
Gently roll or swirl the vial until the powder dissolves. Shaking can damage the peptide. If it doesn't dissolve right away, give it a few minutes.
Split into smaller doses
Divide your solution into single-use amounts before storing. This avoids repeated freeze-thaw cycles that break down the compound over time.
